The Estonian Anti-Poverty Network's MISSION 

 
 

 

We fight poverty and social exclusion effectively, shape better social policy and action programs, and lobby in the name of and with the people who experience poverty and exclusion, ensuring their meaningful participation in society.

 

We guarantee the representation of target groups in the discussion and decision-making of issues affecting them.

 


   
Regular activities of the Estonian Anti-Poverty Network are

  • to promote, coordinate and implement EAPN activities to reduce poverty and social exclusion; representation Estonian activities in EAPN; involvement of the activities of the target groups;
  • open communication and infornation transfer - to develop cooperation between individuals and organizations with similar objectives and represent this groups in international networks; co-operation with our Nordic-Baltic as well as other European colleagues to introduce to them our recent initiative and to learn from their good practices of building stronger network and keeping it running;
  • organizing seminars, debates and conferences - to organize training courses, seminars, training camps, meetings and conferences (including international conferences) for Estonian Anti-Poverty Network members and other related legal and physical bodies;
  • Estonian Anti-Poverty Network capacity building - to train and educate consistently network members;
  • communication with the media - to disseminate relevant EAPN reports and awareness raising materials;
  • Estonian Anti-Poverty Network development - to cooperate with other legal and physical bodies, social movements and international organizations and funds;
  • partnership with the Government and stakeholders on creating National Action Plans and through that affect social policy
  • to initiate and coordinate Estonian and international projects
  • to influence government policy that would contribute to the eradication of poverty and social exclusion.
